Speaker: Vanessa P. Watkins, CPFA®, AIF®

Vanessa is responsible for management of the retirement services group in Charlotte, Charleston, Greenville and Atlanta in providing retirement plan consulting to NFP clients. Vanessa Watkins has been a financial professional for over 30 years. Her career encompasses operations, consulting, sales, corporate strategy, and management for large and small corporations. She has experience in qualified and non-qualified corporate retirement programs having worked at national recordkeeping/administration and consulting firms.
Additionally, she has been a guest speaker at several industry conferences including ASPPA, CFDD and regional conferences sponsored by Fidelity and Schwab. She also has been recognized by industry peers and NAPA as a Top Women Advisor Captain for 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023. Vanessa holds FINRA Series 6, 63 and 26 Securities & Principal licenses. Additionally, she is credentialed as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary through Fi360/BroadRidge and Certified Plan Financial Advisor through ASPPA/NAPA.

Bill Provensal, Principal, Povensal Consulting LLC, provides business planning, tax, and financial consultation. Bill's myriad experience includes President of Dubon Foods, comptroller, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Administration of many well-known and distinguished New Orleans law firms. Bill is a member of the Society of La CPA's, American Institute of CPA's and former President and Board Member of the New Orleans Chapter, ALA. Bill has over 35 years of law firm operations experience.

Ray Lightell is semi-retired, but actively engaged not only within Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, but also with our Chapter as a mentor and leader. Ray's career also spans over 35 years in the legal profession and has been a member of the New Orleans Chapter since 1985. Ray has held numerous committee roles, including Chair, and has served on the Board in every position from Director and Treasurer to President. Additionally, Ray was invited and presented to other Chapters on various topics and has volunteered on the National level as a speaker, a National committee chair and member, and National Board member. Ray is also active as a community volunteer. Ray is a member of the Society of Louisiana CPA's, the LSU Alumni Association St. Bernard Chapter, and the Holy Cross High School Alumni Association.
